Fatal head-on bike collision claims one life, leaves three injured in Kailashahar

Agartala, August 03: Tragedy struck in Kailashahar on Wednesday night when a head-on collision between two bikes opposite Bhagwannagar Radio Center resulted in the loss of one life and left three others seriously injured. The deceased has been identified as Ataur Rahman, the son of Taiyab Ali from the Irani area, who was riding bike number TR-05E-6054.

Eyewitnesses reported that Ataur Rahman’s bike collided head-on with an unnumbered bike approaching from the opposite direction. The loud noise of the collision drew the attention of locals who rushed to the scene to find the aftermath of the unfortunate accident.

As a result of the high-impact collision, three occupants of the unnumbered bike and Ataur Rahman suffered severe injuries. The quick response of the locals led to an immediate alert being sent to the fire brigade. Firefighters swiftly arrived at the scene, rescuing the injured victims, and promptly transferring them to Unakoti District Hospital for medical attention.

Tragically, Ataur Rahman could not survive his injuries, and the attending doctor at the hospital pronounced him dead. Meanwhile, the three injured individuals from the unnumbered bike continue to receive treatment at Unakoti District Hospital, with one of them being in critical condition.

The local police swiftly responded to the incident and retrieved both accident-involved bikes from the scene. The bikes have been taken to the police station for further investigation.

As the authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision, the community mourns the loss of Ataur Rahman and prays for the speedy recovery of the injured victims.
