Agartala, 4th August 2025: A desperate father has appealed to the Chief Minister for help in securing life-saving treatment for his two-year-old son, who has been battling a severe urinary tract condition since birth.
Abu Hanif, a private school teacher at Daodharani Madrasa, revealed that his son Abu Jar has suffered from a urinary blockage since birth, preventing him from urinating naturally. Doctors initially performed surgery to create an alternative passage through the abdomen, advising a follow-up procedure once the child turned two.
However, during the recent medical evaluation, doctors discovered that Abu Jar’s kidneys have also developed complications, adding urgency and complexity to his condition. The child’s treatment over the past two years has already cost the family nearly ₹6 lakh.
Medical experts have now recommended an advanced surgical procedure outside the state. But Hanif, struggling financially, says he cannot afford the estimated ₹6 lakh required for the next phase of treatment.
With mounting pressure and no resources left, Hanif has publicly requested support from both the state government and generous individuals to help save his child’s life.
