Agartala, 9th November 2024:   Residents of Bishalgarh-Kadamtali are facing severe harassment as a father-son duo allegedly continues to occupy a 1000-year-old road. The road is crucial for about 150 families living in the area, but Shah Alam and Aynal Haque are accused of encroaching on it causing significant disruptions.

The illegal occupation has made it difficult for emergency services like ambulances and fire trucks to access the area. “Our cars can’t even enter the office because of this occupation,” complained one of the affected residents. Despite multiple requests to vacate the road, the father and son have reportedly refused to comply.

Local people are now appealing to the concerned offices and local public representatives to intervene. “We urge the authorities to take necessary steps to free this road from their control and relieve us from this continuous harassment,” said a resident.

According to official maps, the road is quite spacious, but the residents claim that Shah Alam and Aynal Haque have forcibly occupied it. The community is hopeful that appropriate action will be taken to restore the road’s accessibility and ensure the safety and convenience of all who rely on it.
