Agartala, 9th November 2025: A devastating fire broke out at Abhicharan Master Para in South Ghilatali, completely destroying the kitchen of a poor family. According to local sources, the affected person has been identified as Swarjit Das, who has long been struggling with financial hardship.
The family survives on farming and daily wage labor, barely managing their day-to-day needs. Reports say the family’s kitchen, built with a thatched roof, caught fire on Sunday morning shortly after the family members had left for work following their morning tea. Due to the thatched structure, the flames spread rapidly, engulfing the entire kitchen area within minutes. Locals, upon noticing the fire, rushed to the spot and made efforts to douse the flames with their own resources.
Their prompt action helped bring the fire under control before it could spread further. The fire service personnel also arrived soon after, but by then, the fire had already been contained. Residents have urged the administration to extend immediate assistance and relief to the affected family, who have lost their kitchen and essential belongings in the blaze.
