Agartala, 9th November 2025 : The Tripura unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch a statewide “Unity March” from November 10, announced state BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee at a press conference today.
He said the initiative is part of the BJP’s nationwide “Ekta March,” marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose leadership in India’s freedom struggle and integration efforts, including Tripura’s merger with India in 1949, remains significant.
As part of the celebrations, a Unity Run was held on October 31, attended by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, ministers, and MLAs.
The first Unity March will begin on November 10 in West Tripura, from Ujjayanta Palace to Hapania Mela Ground, to be flagged off by the Chief Minister. Subsequent marches will follow — Nov 12 in North Tripura and Sepahijala, Nov 14 in South Tripura, Nov 18 in Unakoti and Khowai, and Nov 20 in Gomati district.
The campaign aims to promote the message of “One India, Best India – One Tripura, Best Tripura”, along with activities under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
