Agartala, July 29, 2023: Fire engulfed car at Nehal Chandranagar area in Bishalgarh and political motives were suspected behind this incident. The owner of the damaged car is identified as Pranesh Majhi.
The incident has caused widespread unrest in the region. Local residents informed that on Saturday morning, they received news of a car on fire in the Nehal Chandranagar area.
Despite the efforts of firefighters to control the flames, the car was completely reduced to ashes. The estimated damage is around Rs 7 lakh. Upon receiving the news, the Vishalgarh Police rushed to the scene.
Surprisingly, it took them over two hours to reach the incident spot. However, if the firefighters had not arrived promptly, the fire could have spread to nearby houses, causing more concern to the residents.
The incident has created a tense atmosphere in the area, and locals are apprehensive that if the authorities had arrived earlier, the fire might have been contained, preventing the extensive damage. The situation remains volatile in the region.
