Agartala, 13th December 2025: Panic gripped residents of Jambura area in Khowai district after a straw-laden vehicle suddenly caught fire today. Within moments, the vehicle was engulfed in flames, sending shockwaves through the locality.
According to local sources, smoke was first noticed coming from the vehicle as it was passing through the Jambura road. The fire spread rapidly, turning into a massive blaze. The driver managed to escape unharmed, narrowly saving his life.
On receiving the alert, two fire engines rushed to the spot. Firefighters battled the flames for a prolonged period before finally bringing the situation under control. By then, however, the large quantity of straw loaded on the vehicle had been completely reduced to ashes.
No casualties were reported in the incident, though the vehicle suffered extensive damage. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
