Agartala, 28th October 2025 : A major accident was narrowly avoided in Agartala’s Shibnagar locality this morning after a sudden fire broke out at the residence of Pramod Kar during a routine check of his kitchen gas regulator.
According to initial reports, Kar was inspecting the regulator for possible leakage when a loud explosion was followed by a burst of flames. The fire quickly spread across the room, triggering panic in the neighborhood.
Fortunately, no one sustained serious injuries. Alert neighbors responded swiftly, using presence of mind to contain the situation before it escalated further.
Fire services arrived promptly after being notified and managed to bring the blaze under control. Authorities have urged residents to exercise caution while handling gas appliances and to seek professional assistance for inspections.
