Agartala, May 23, 2023: Tripura Apex Fishery Cooperative Society was inaugurated for ensuing ‘Jamai Shasthi’ to sell various kinds of fishes at low cost at Maharaj Ganj Bazar here on Tuesday.
Animal Resource Development minister Sudhangshu Das on Tuesday inaugurated the sales centre in presence of Secretary of the Fisheries department BS Mishra, Director Moslem Uddin Ahmed, members of the society and others.
The minister said that fish will be sold at a low price. The delicious Hilsha weighing 1 kg to 1 kg 200 grams will sell for Rs 1070, 800 grams to 1 kg of Hilsha will be sold at Rs 970. Apart from this, the most popular ‘Katla’ fish will be sold at Rs 370 per kilogram.
Before this, fish was sold to citizens at a low price on the Bengali New Year day by this society. Customers are happy to open this type of sales centre in front of the special day.
