Bangladeshi mother daughter held in state while crossing border

Agartala: May 23. A daughter and mother who are Bangladeshi nationals were detained by BSF while crossing international border from Tripura.During preliminary interrogation, BSF personnel seized fake Indian identity cards from them. Madhupur police station is investigating the incident.

Allegations are that Bangladeshis are constantly entering India illegally through various bordering areas including Konabon, Harihardola, Miapara, Radhanagar of Kamalasagar Assembly Constituency.

 After completing their various jobs in India, Bangladeshis are constantly traveling illegally from India through brokers. Momtaz Begum and her daughter Mira Khatun of Jessore district were detained by BSF.

They were later handed over to Madhupur police station. It is known that Momtaz Begum was working in a house in Bangalore for a long time. A week ago her daughter Mira Khatun went to Bangalore. Mother and daughter from Bangalore were caught by BSF jawans while illegally crossing into Bangladesh through Harihardola border area.

Fake voter ID card and Aadhaar card were recovered from them. A case has been taken against them under various sections. This was said by an official of the police station. The police are investigating the incident.
