Agartala, 1st August 2024: A Battalion Commander level flag meeting was held between BSF and BGB in the area of BOP Hariamuni Para, 126 BN BSF, District Dhalai, Tripura on Thursday . Lalit Mohan Pant, Commandant BSF led the Indian delegation and Lt col Mahamudul Hasan, Commanding officer led the BD delegation.
During the meeting BSF raised the issue of illegal infiltration through the Indo -Bangladesh border from Bangladesh to India, activities of Indian insurgents group operating from Bangladesh territory, smuggling of contraband by Bangladeshi smugglers. BGB has assured to take affirmative action against these trans-border criminals and infiltrators.
Meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere with a commitment to maintain friendly relation between two countries and to maintain peace and tranquility on border. BSF has been proactively engaging with BGB at all levels to resolve the issues pertaining to border in Tripura.
