Agartala, 2nd December 2024: A vehicle in the convoy of former Tripura Chief Minister and current Member of Parliament (MP) Biplab Kumar Deb was involved in a serious accident earlier today.
The incident occurred around 11 a.m. as the convoy was returning after dropping Deb at Parliament.According to initial reports, a speeding car collided with the MP’s vehicle. Fortunately, Deb was not present in the car at the time of the mishap. However, the driver of the impacted vehicle sustained injuries in the collision.Eyewitnesses suggest the accident was caused by reckless driving on the part of the other vehicle. Authorities have cordoned off the area and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Deb, who has been an influential leader from Tripura, is reportedly unharmed and continuing with his parliamentary commitments.
