It is alleged that Yamin Miya, son of former village head Kamal Miya, came to the balcony of the school during classes and hit a student with a bike and seriously injured her at Matinagar Higher Secondary School.
It is learned that Shahnaz Begum, a ninth grade student of the school left the bag in the class room and came out of the room on the balcony. At that time, a mischievous young man named Yamin Mia entered the school with a bike and ran away after hitting Shahnaz Begum who was standing on the balcony of the class room.
Shahnaz Begum was injured. Hearing the screams of Shahnaz Begum, the school teachers came running. The injured Shahnaz Begum was rushed to Hapania Medical College.
Meanwhile, after getting the news of the incident, the local people including the chairman of the school management committee, Swapan Miya, rushed to the school.
A teacher of the school and chairman of the school management committee said that the accused Yamin Mia is a former student of the school. Currently he is known as a mischievous youth in the area. Amtali police station has been informed about the incident. Police have been asked to take necessary action.
