Agartala, 28th May 2025: In a significant breakthrough against drug trafficking, the Kanchanpur police successfully arrested four suspected heroin dealers in a raid conducted in the Dopatacherra area yesterday.
Acting on confidential information, police officials carried out the operation, leading to the recovery of 40 vials of heroin. The arrested individuals are Ripon Chakma, Sushil Chakma, Binod Reang and Alokmay Reang has been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Kanchanpur police station.
Authorities have intensified vigilance in the region, reinforcing their commitment to curbing the illegal drug trade. Further investigations are underway to determine possible connections to larger drug networks.
