Four Bihar residents held while smuggling cannabis at Dharmanagar

Agartala: September 22. Four residents of Bihar were arrested today by Tripura Police in Dharmanagar while they were smuggling cannabis worth lakh rupees.As per information four passengers boarded in an auto from Dharmanagar auto stand around 11 am to go to Churaibari. The auto driver and others got suspicious after they found huge packets which they were carrying.

When other passengers and the auto driver have inquired about it they said it is pillow. As the driver and others persons has forcefully searched the packets and recovered 40kgs of cannabis which were kept in 11 packets.“Immediately the information was sent to Dharmanagar police station. The police rushed to the spot and arrested them”, said police.

Police further said that during preliminary investigation they were identified as Mukesh Kumar (18), Kanai Kumar (26), Prince Roy (18) and Chhota Lal Roy (24) who are residents of Vaishali district of Bihar. “They were arrested and brought to Dharmanagar police station for questioning. A case under NDPS section registered against them”, said police.
