Agartala, 28th June 2026: Four people were injured in a road accident involving a goods carrier vehicle on Sunday in Bishramganj. Among the injured, one woman is reported to be in critical condition.
The seriously injured woman has been identified as Krishnachandra Namo (43). The other injured persons are Rana Debnath (22), Akash Debbarma (22), and Pradip Das (45).
According to reports, local residents informed the fire and emergency services after the accident. Rescue personnel reached the spot and evacuated the injured to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.
Doctors at the hospital stated that Krishnachandra Namo’s condition was critical, following which she was referred to GB Hospital for advanced medical care. The other three injured persons were also given primary treatment and are likely to be referred further, according to attending medical staff.
The accident reportedly led to disruption in traffic movement along the Bishalgarh–Bishramganj route for some time. Authorities are yet to issue a detailed statement regarding the cause of the accident.
