Four Suspected Bangladeshi Nationals Detained in Khowai

Agartala, 10th July 2026:   Tripura Police have detained four individuals suspected to be Bangladeshi nationals from the Radhanagar Stand area in Khowai district on Friday.

Police sources said that the identities of the detained persons and the legality of their entry into India are currently being verified. Authorities are also conducting further questioning as part of the investigation.

According to police, they received information at around 1:30 PM about the suspicious movement of four persons in the Khowai district motor stand area. Acting on the tip-off, a police team reached the location and detained them.

During initial questioning, the individuals reportedly admitted to being Bangladeshi nationals and stated that they are residents of Chapanagar in Bangladesh, police said. Further investigation is underway.
