Agartala, 28th November 2024:   ARD, Fisheries and SC Welfare minister Sudhangshu Das has issued a strong condemnation of the Bangladesh government’s actions, accusing it of undermining humanity and directly attacking human values. In a scathing statement, he highlighted the presence of Al-Qaeda militants on the streets of Bangladesh and the brutal treatment of saints like ISKCON’s Chinmoy Krishna Prabhu, who was spreading messages of peace and harmony through Harinam.

“The Bangladesh government is acting like an animal. The people of Bangladesh are living in fear every night, subjected to the brutality of their government. Fundamentalists are committing atrocities against Hindus, looting their houses, and raping and killing Hindu girls and women. This is unacceptable,” Minister Sudhangshu declared.

He strongly condemned the management of the Bangladesh government, emphasizing the need to preserve the heritage, culture, and traditions of the state. “We must keep the heritage, culture, and traditions of our state alive. Our country is unique in allowing people of different religions to live together peacefully, thanks to our traditional courts that seek the well-being of all,” he said.

Sudhangshu warned against the influence of various court systems, including those of communism, jihadism, and fundamentalism, which he claimed are present in both the country and the state. “Everyone should be cautious of these influences,” he advised.

The minister also called for unity among the people to overcome adverse situations. “We must maintain unity among ourselves to overcome all adverse situations. Otherwise, our country will turn into Bangladesh,” he cautioned.

Sudhangshu’s remarks underscore the urgent need for collective action to protect minority rights and maintain social harmony. His call for unity and vigilance reflects the broader concerns about the erosion of democratic values and the rise of authoritarianism in the region.
