Minister Bikash Debbarma accuses opposition of plotting against tribal development

Agartala, 28th November 2024:  Janjati Kalyan minister Bikash Debbarma has accused opposition parties of plotting to spread confusion among the tribal communities. Speaking at an organizational meeting organized by the Janajati Morcha of 29-Krishnapur Mandal, Debbarma emphasized the state government’s commitment to the development of tribal areas.

“The guidelines of the state Chief Minister have been outlined for the development of the tribal people living in tribal areas across the state,” Debbarma stated. The meeting, held at the Mandal office, aimed to ensure the success of the upcoming historic public meeting with tribal people in the Chakmaghat area of the 29-Krishnapur assembly constituency on December 10. Leaders of Janajati Morcha participated in the discussion.

Debbarma accused the opposition of creating obstacles in the development of tribal areas. “The opposition parties are plotting against the tribal people. They are creating obstacles in the development of the areas,” he said. He further asserted that the opposition has become a hindrance to the progress of tribal regions. “Opposition parties have become an obstacle in the path of development of tribal areas,” he added.

The minister highlighted the importance of public meetings with tribal communities across the state to ensure the continuity of development efforts. “Public meetings are being held with tribal people from all over the state to ensure continuity of development for the people of tribal areas,” Debbarma concluded.
