Agartala, 8th December 2025:  The annual week-long fundraising campaign to assist families of soldiers who laid down their lives defending the nation began on December 07. Marking the occasion, members of the Tripura Rajya Sainik Board and NCC cadets jointly took to the streets of Agartala today to collect voluntary donations.

Standing at busy intersections, marketplaces, and other prominent locations across the city, the volunteers appealed to citizens for contributions. The initiative aims not only to honor the memory of fallen soldiers but also to extend meaningful support to their families.

Throughout the day, pedestrians, traders, and local residents came forward spontaneously, donating according to their means. Officials from the Sainik Board confirmed that the fundraising drive will continue throughout the week, with all proceeds directed towards the welfare of the families of martyred soldiers.
