THRC to observe International Human Rights Day on December 10

Agartala, 8th December 2025:  The Tripura Human Rights Commission will observe International Human Rights Day on December 10 at 11 a.m. at Hall No. 1 of Pragya Bhavan, Gorkhabasti. This year’s global theme for Human Rights Day is “Human Rights: Our Everyday Essentials.”

The event will be formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha. Among the distinguished guests attending the programme are Director General of Police Anurag, Advocate General of Tripura Shaktimoy Chakraborty, Chairperson of Tripura Women’s Commission Jharna Debbarma, and Law Department Secretary Shankari Das.

The ceremony will be presided over by Justice Arindam Lodh, Chairperson of the Tripura Human Rights Commission.

The announcement was made during a press conference held today at the Commission’s office in Shyamali Bazar. Dhan Babu Riang, Secretary of the Tripura Human Rights Commission, briefed the media and extended an open invitation to all to attend the programme. Additional Superintendent of Police Dipankar Pal, who is appointed to the Commission, was also present at the briefing.
