Agartala, 8th December 2025:  The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) today strongly protested the introduction of several bills in Parliament, calling them “anti-people” and against the interests of farmers and laborers.

Speaking at a protest meeting held at Orient Chowmuhani, TPCC President Asish Kumar Saha said, “Around 10 draft bills, including those related to seeds and the privatization of power, have been placed before Parliament. These bills go against the people’s interests and cannot be allowed to pass.”

The protest saw active participation from the party’s farmers and labor wings, who joined the Congress in condemning the government’s move. “The present government’s decisions are completely against the people, and we strongly oppose such measures,” Saha added.

The Tripura Congress vowed to continue its campaign against these bills, emphasizing that such policies threaten the welfare of ordinary citizens and the state’s agricultural community.
