Agartala, 31st August 2025 : Acting on a tip-off, police from Dharmanagar police station conducted a raid at the residence of Sudamoy Pal (62) in the Krishnapur area under Dharmanagar police station.
During the search operation, police recovered two packets containing 33.5 kg of dried ganja from his house. Upon questioning, Pal reportedly admitted that he had procured the contraband with the intention of selling it.
The accused was immediately arrested and taken to Dharmanagar police station. A case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, police said.
