Agartala, 22nd October 2025:  A fire broke out early this morning in the Naroura area under Bishalgarh police station, reportedly triggered by a gas cylinder leak at the residence of local resident Subrata Sarkar.

Locals informed that the blaze erupted suddenly while family members were engaged in household chores. Panic ensued as smoke and flames were seen emerging from the kitchen, prompting loud cries for help across the neighborhood. Neighbors rushed in to assist, but the fire spread rapidly due to the gas ignition.

The Bishalgarh Fire department was alerted immediately and arrived at the scene promptly. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control before it could cause extensive damage. The kitchen and some furniture were damaged, but no major injuries or fatalities were reported.

Local residents credited the swift response of the fire service for preventing a potential catastrophe. Preliminary investigations by fire officials suggest the fire may have originated from a leak in the gas cylinder’s pipe.
