Agartala, May 04: On the 2567th birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha, a special celebration of the auspicious day has been organized at Benuban Vihar in Agartala on Friday.
Speaking to media persons here in the temple premises on Thursday, Ven Khemchara said that the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha will attend the event. He will inaugurate the illumination at around 4 pm.
He also said that the special religious ceremony on the occasion of Buddha Purnima starts from seven o’clock on Friday morning. There will be a special prayer in the evening. All Buddhists gather.
Worshiper Tushar Kanti Chakma said that this religious ceremony was organized to wish peace and prosperity of the country.
