Agartala, 9th April 2025: The GC CRPF, Agartala commemorated Valour Day 2025 with solemn pride and patriotic fervor paying homage to the unmatched bravery and supreme sacrifices of CRPF personnel during the historic battle of sardar Post in the Rann of Kutch, Gujrat in 1965.
Valour Day is observed every year on April 09 to mark the heroic stand of a small contingent of CRPF Jawans who successfully repelled an attack by a full-fledged Pakistani Infantry brigade in 1965.
The celebration began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Marty’s Memorial, where Vimal Kumar Bisht, IG, Tripura Sector, Agartala, in the presence of Senior Officers and Jawans paid floral tributes to the fallen heroes. A Two-minute silence was observed in honour of the martyr’s.
On this occasion, a Sainik Sammelan was organized during which the importance of the day was highlighted and spirit of courage and dedication among CRPF personnel was acknowledged. As a Mark of honour, three recipients of the Police Medal for Gallantry were felicitated. CRPF Officers also visited the residence of Martyr’s in our AOR, offering heartfelt tributes and felicitated the family. Their sacrifices were remembered with deep respect and gratitude.
Group Centre, CRPF Agartala reiterates its dedication to the nation and salutes the courage, valour and sacrifice of the brave personnel of the force.
