Agartala: June 27. Students of General Degree Colleges protested in front of Tripura University on behalf of ABVP, demanding immediate opportunity for failed students of General Degree Colleges to sit for the second examination.
The leaders of ABVP have made a demand that those who have failed in general degree colleges this year should be given the opportunity to sit for the second exam immediately because the new National Education Policy 2020 has been launched for higher students from this year.
However, the majority of the movement on this day were general degree college students. Besides, after the agitation at the main gate of Tripura University on this day, the leaders of Akhil Bharat Vidyarthi Parishad approached the Vice-Chancellor with the agreed demands. They have assured that they will hold a meeting with the professors of all general degree colleges in the state on June 28.
After the deputation, the delegation said that a final decision will be taken in the meeting. However, it is not known to what extent the central university will implement such a demand. The protest program continued for a long time on this day. Other students of the university suffered as a result of the protest.
