Government  working for people by launching new schemes: Deputy CM

Agartala: November 23. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma today said that his government is working for people by launching new schemes for public welfare in the state with an aim to enrich the society and the state.

“The present government believes in transparent administration. It is possible to serve people only if there is sincerity. Reaching the last person through service is good governance”, said Deputy Chief Minister after inaugurating the Dukli Block-level Beneficiary Conference at Dukli Block Complex today.

On the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated the ‘Deendayal Upadhyay Haat khola Bazar Shed’ at Dukli Block Complex. Deputy Chief Minister said on the occasion that the policy of the present government is sabka sath, sabka vikash. “The government is working for people by launching new schemes for public welfare. The aim of the government is to enrich the society and the state. The present government believes in transparent administration. The government is directly disbursing money to the beneficiaries in various projects through banks and also we have increased the allowance for various social pensions from Rs 700 to 2000 in a short period of time”, said DyCM.

He said to strengthen the base of rural economy, currently 38 thousand SHGs have been formed in the state, increasing from 4 thousand.The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government is determined to provide drinking water connection from house to house under Jal Jeevan Mission.

“The current government is working to improve education infrastructure by starting English medium schools, launching Vidyajyoti scheme and recruiting quality teachers. The government will move forward on the path of prosperity by taking the people with it”, he added.Prison Minister Ramprasad Pal said on the occasion that the government is organizing good governance fair for the welfare of the people. Government aims to provide access to government schemes and services to the last person in every town.
