Agartala, 25th April 2024: Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Thursday inaugurated the World Malaria Day celebrations at Solanki Hall in Raj Bhavan here. The event is part of a global effort to raise awareness about malaria control and eradication, which is observed annually.
In his address, the Governor urged all stakeholders to unite in the fight against malaria. He emphasized the need for collective action to eliminate the disease from the state.
The welcome speech was delivered by Binoy Bhushan Das, Joint Director of the National Health Mission. The event also featured a detailed discussion on malaria eradication by Dr. Abhijit Das, State Malaria Officer.
The event was attended by several prominent health officials, including Dr. Ranjan Biswas, Chief Medical Officer of West Tripura District, Dr. Amlan Datta, Medical Officer in charge of Raj Bhavan, and Dr. Manik Roy, Medical Officer. The news was reported from Raj Bhavan here on Thursday.
