Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu visits MBB University and inaugurated blood donation camp

Agartala, 2nd May 2024:  Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, Governor of Tripura and Chancellor of MBB University visited Maharaja Bir Bikram University today. He has also inaugurated the blood donation camp organized by NSS Unit and Red Ribbon Club of MBB University. Dr Sumanta Chakrabarti, Registrar of the MBB University has welcomed the Governor in the University and highlighted the different activities of the University since establishment of the university in the year 2015. He has also mentioned the brief history of the establishment of MBB University.

Prof. Satyadeo Poddar, Vice Chancellor of the University has given a brief account of the different programmes, achievements of the University. He has also cited the challenges that the University faces in its functioning.

In his address, Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Governor of Tripura and Chancellor of MBB University expressed his satisfaction over the achievements of the University and he wished for future development of the University. The Chancellor also expressed his satisfaction over the oraganisation of Blood Donation Camp in the University. He also wished to donate blood but due to his age he was unable to donate. He encouraged the students to consider donating their organs. He has also interacted with the students.

A total of 16 students donated their blood in this camp.

On the other hand, Governor Nallu paid a visit to the Divyangjan School in Narsingarh today. During his visit, he engaged with the students, ensuring they receive adequate support and services. He personally inspected amenities such as drinking water and electricity to ensure their proper functioning. Subsequently, the governor attended a school event where he spoke as the chief guest.

In his address, the Governor emphasized the importance of prioritizing government projects aimed at empowering individuals with disabilities, ensuring their effective execution for their holistic development. He reassured the Divyangjans of his steadfast support for their comprehensive progress.
