Agartala, 10th June 2026: The Government of Tripura has appointed Shantanu as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration (Personnel & Training) Department on June 8, 2026, Shantanu, an IAS officer of the 1997 batch (Tripura cadre), has been repatriated from central deputation. He has been posted as Principal Secretary to the Government of Tripura in the Higher Administrative Grade (HAG) scale at Level 15 of the Pay Matrix.
In addition to his role as Principal Secretary, he has also been assigned the additional charge of the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, along with his new responsibility as CEO of TTAADC.
The notification further stated that Raval Hamendra Kumar, who was previously holding the additional charge of CEO, TTAADC, will be relieved of his responsibilities once Shantanu formally assumes office.
It also confirmed that K. Sasikumar has been relieved from the additional charge of the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department.
The order, issued in the interest of public service, takes immediate effect.
