Agartala, 1st November 2025: In a bid to promote inclusive growth, the Tripura government is working beyond political affiliations to ensure holistic development for all citizens, said Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury today.
He was speaking at a public event organized by the Jirania Nagar Panchayat, where housing sanction letters were distributed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban 2.0).
The ceremony, held at the Jirania Nagar Panchayat office premises, marked the official handover of housing approvals to 234 beneficiaries from the urban area. Minister Chowdhury inaugurated the event and emphasized the government’s commitment to equitable progress across sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, and rural economy.
“The government is rising above political identities to work for the comprehensive development of every citizen,” Chowdhury stated. “Thanks to relentless efforts, we are witnessing significant improvements across the state. If this momentum continues, it will greatly support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.”
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Jirania Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Ratan Kumar Das, Jirania Panchayat Samiti Chairman Pritam Debnath, and social worker Ranjit Roy Chowdhury. The welcome address was delivered by Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Jirania Nagar Panchayat, Janmejoy Chakma.
