Govt to develop other civic bodies, Nagar Panchayats soon: CM

Agartala: Aug 12. The state government has decided to develop all other Municipal bodies and Nagar Panchayats soon after the completion work of Agartala Smart City projects, said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha.While inaugurating MBB college road from Math Chowmuhani to MBB college gate, Underground Cable line from Math Chowmuhani to MBB college gate and beautification of three ponds on the way to MBB college Chief Minister lauded the role of former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and claimed because of Deb all such work could possible in the state.

“Because of Former CM Biplab Kumar Deb Agartala has come under Smart city project. We used to listen all works and projects about smart city from former CM. Because of former CM Biplab Kumar Deb Agartala became of Smart city”, he said.He further said that when he used to go to MBB colleges earlier he has seen the condition of the lake very poor, “But the way it was developed and the way work has been done for beautification, only for former CM Biplab Kumar Deb it was possible”.CM further said that this is a model road under the Smart City Project and he hopes in coming days everyone will work in the same way and for this cooperation needs from everyone.

Giving details about some project CM Dr Saha said in Mastarpara drainage pump house work has been completed, in Joynagar work of pump house is under way, beautification of Ranir Pukur paar is almost over and today these works three water bodies, roads completed.“The major problem in Agartala is parking issues. To solve such problem Smart City mission has under taken a big project which is multilevel car parking in motor stand and for which work is underway. After these work parking problem will be solved and traffic movement will be free. Not only Banamalipur but the entire Agartala is getting smart. After Agartala Smarty City work we will start working for other developing and beautification of other municipal bodies and Nagar Panchayats”, he said.During the event former CM Biplab Kumar Deb, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder, AMC Commissioner Sailesh Kumar Yadav and other were present.
