Agartala: August 13. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha today said the government would soon invite private helicopter for their services in the Narkelkunja to boost the tourist footfall in the state.
“Dumbur reservoir is no less than Dal Lake in Kashmir. It is not possible to know that there are so many attractive tourist centers in the state without actually seeing it. In the future, the socio-economic system of the region around Narkelkunj will improve. Besides, private helicopter services will be invited to serve this route to attract tourists”, said by the Chief Minister while participating in the ‘Har Ghar Triranga’ program at Narkelkunj of Gandacherra sub-division today as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha today landed at Narkelkunj helipad by helicopter from Agartala. He was welcomed there by MP Rebarti Tripura, MLA Dhananjay Tripura and local public representatives and officials of the district and sub-divisional administrations. Then the Har Ghar Triranga program started as per the pre-arranged schedule. As part of this, the Chief Minister participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga program with the national flag in a beautiful procession of 70 motorized boats at Dumbur reservoir in Narkelkunj.
The chief minister also said that there are 48 other small islands in the vicinity of Narkelkunj. And if these 48 islands are decorated highlighting the art and culture of the state, this place will become one of the most attractive places for tourism in the future. Along with this, he directed to seriously look into the matter of ensuring the safety of the tourists visiting the tourist spots. The Chief Minister said that in the coming days, the government will take initiatives to make Dumbur reservoir and Narkelkunja more attractive to tourists. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha expressed the hope that this Har Ghar Tricolor program organized through a boat procession in the beautiful Narkelkunj reservoir will be appreciated not only by the country but also by the whole world.
