Agartala: December 02. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma today claimed that to guide the society and to protect the society, everyone has to come forward to celebrate Gram Diwas.
Today Gram Diwas celebration and good governance program was held in front of Bisramganja motor stand under the initiative of Bisramganja village panchayat under Charilam block. Deputy Chief Minister of the state Jishnu Dev Varma lit the lamp of the ceremony, besides, Sepahijala Zila Parishad Chairperson Supriya Das Dutta, Charilam Panchayat Samiti Member Pratima Sharma, Bisramganja Gram Panchayat Chief Sudhangshu Das Baishnab, Charilam RD Block Additional BDO Amitabh Bhattacharya were present.
Local artistes performed cultural programs in the program of good governance at home. The Deputy Chief Minister handed over the award to 45 citizens of the village Panchayat. Apart from this, the Deputy Chief Minister distributed prizes to the winners of the drawing competition. Nutritious food was given to five lactating women, besides, bicycles were handed over to 10 girls of 12th standard school.
The Deputy Chief Minister of the state said that there is a tradition of this Bisramganja, when kings Krishna used to go to NeerMahal they used to take rest at Bisramganja. “A connection with Tripura remains with the Bisramganja. The kind of work that has been done in Bisramganja has been done for the guardians. To guide the society to protect the society, to do one’s own religion, we want everyone to celebrate this Gram Diwas. To do any good work, first take the blessings of the elders. If you want to do any good work, you have to do it first”, he said.
He also said that doing Gram Diwas means that loyalty to the village is an illusion of the soil of the village. “No matter how great a doctor engineer he is, he will have a special interest in the village, then he will be considered a human being. A developed village means a developed India. Prosperity of the state is possible if the village is prosperous. Therefore, the government is working with more importance in the all-round development of the village”, he said.He also said that with the aim of delivering the benefits of government projects to the doorsteps of the people, good governance programs are going on across the state. The government has arranged to deliver the government projects to the people of the village through the celebration of village day at the panchayat level and to provide assistance by giving all suggestions regarding the government projects.
