Govt working to develop sports infrastructure in state: Sushanta

Agartala: December 05. ICA and Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury today said that in order to take forward the sports field in the state, the state government has given utmost importance to infrastructural development.

Minister Sushanta today inaugurated the newly constructed world class Synthetic Turf Football Field by lighting Mangaldweep in the dignified presence of  Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha at Sachindranagar School under 10 Majlishpur Assembly Constituency under the financial support of the State Government and under the supervision of Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.

He said that this synthetic turf football ground has been built according to the guidelines of the international football organization, FIFA.

“Our government is serious about raising the quality of football above all by awakening football, developing football infrastructure and exploring new talent.  In order to take forward the sports field in the state, the State Government’s Department of Youth Affairs and Sports has given utmost importance to infrastructural development”, said Sushanta.

He also said, “I thank the Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Dr Manik Saha and  Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma for providing financial assistance for constructing this world class”.
