Agartala Dec 06: Pressing for the demand of Greater Tipra land, the activists of Pradyut Kishore Manikya led TIPRA Motha party staged a mass sit-in agitation in front of the party office in Manpathar.
The regional ‘Tipra Motha’ party has been continuing a two day demonstration in Jantar Mantar area of Delhi from yesterday with its demand for ‘Greater Tipraland’ . More than 1400 ‘Motha’ workers and supporters have reached Delhi and have been taking part in the demonstration.
Complying with the agitation in Delhi, the supporters of the TIPRA Motha party held similar protests in front of the party office in Manpathar under the Santirbazar sub-division demanding Greater Tipra land. The supporters of the party raised slogans for the formation of Greater Tipra land. Former Prisons Minister Monindra Reang, former Deputy Speaker Gouri Shankar Reang, Ranjit Reang and other leaders of TIPRA Motha party were present at the mass sit-in protest.The agitators vowed to continue protests till their demands are not met.
