Gyanshala marks third foundation  with cultural festivities and student felicitations

Agartala, 6th June 2026 :   Udaipur’s Gyanshala, one of Tripura’s most successful educational institutions, celebrated its third foundation day with grandeur at the Udaipur Science Centre. Established three years ago, the institution has quickly earned a reputation for shaping bright futures for the new generation of students.

The anniversary program was inaugurated by Debal Debroy, Sabhadhipati of the Gomati Zilla Parishad, in the presence of distinguished retired educators Dr. Harekrishna Acharya, Ratan Chand, and Partha Sarathi Das; renowned art teacher Nandadulal Debnath; and Gyanshala Principal Krishan Acharya, along with faculty members.

The day-long celebration featured vibrant cultural performances, including dance, music, recitation, and impressive student anchoring that hinted at future talents in media and public speaking. Students who recently excelled in the Madhyamik examinations were felicitated by the guests. Principal Acharya highlighted that Gyanshala students have consistently ranked among the top achievers, with many securing multiple distinctions.

In his address, Sabhadhipati Debroy praised Gyanshala as a premier institution dedicated to molding well-rounded individuals. He emphasized that the school prioritizes education over profit, offering affordable quality learning to children from modest middle-class families. He lauded the teachers’ sincere dedication and expressed his willingness to contribute to the institution’s growth in the future.

The celebration concluded with a spectacular cultural program. Notably, several distinguished journalists from Udaipur, including Apuram Sarkar, Utpal Dey, Prasenjit Dey, Somen Sen, and Bittu Majumdar, were felicitated during the event, underscoring Gyanshala’s commitment to honoring contributions across fields.
