Agartala, 26th December 2025: Panic spread in the area adjacent to the Kailashahar Court following a head-on collision between an electric auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle on Wednesday.
According to sources, the electric auto was coming from the northern part of the town, while the motorcycle was heading toward the same direction from the town center when the accident occurred. The collision left the auto driver, the motorcyclist, and two passengers of the auto injured.
It is reported that there were five passengers in the auto-rickshaw. Among them, the driver and one passenger sustained serious injuries, while the remaining three suffered relatively minor injuries. Eyewitnesses identified the critically injured auto driver as Abdul, a resident of the Maguruli area in the northern part of the town. The identities of the other injured persons could not be immediately confirmed.
All the injured were promptly shifted to Unakoti District Hospital for medical treatment. Further details are awaited.
