Agartala, August 14: A commendable health camp was orchestrated within the premises of Little Hearts English Medium School on Monday. Spearheaded by the collaborative efforts of Little Hearts English Medium School, Purba Thana Road, and UPHC Center, Padmapur, the event aimed to champion the well-being of the students.
Padma Purushta Center, in conjunction with school authorities, orchestrated this health camp as a pivotal component of an ongoing initiative dedicated to promoting health and vitality among the youth. Distinguished medical practitioner, Dr. Bireswar Saha, and a dedicated team of healthcare professionals lent their expertise to the camp, offering comprehensive health assessments and guidance.
In an exclusive interview, Dr. Bireshwar Saha emphasized the extensive measures undertaken in the state to establish an anaemia-free India. The health check-up drive, specifically targeting students below the age of ten, resonates with this overarching vision. The diligent health evaluation encompassed not only the students but also extended its care to encompass their parents.
The health department’s commitment to eradicating anaemia was palpable, as iron tablets were promptly distributed to students under the age of ten found to be grappling with this condition. Dr. Saha highlighted the continuity of this noble endeavour across various educational institutions, ensuring a sustained impact on the community’s health.
