Agartala, February 09: A health campaign for children and adolescents, named Mukhyamantri Sustho Saishob, Sustho Kaishore Abhiyan 6.0, was launched at Belabar Primary Health Center in West Tripura on Friday. The campaign aims to promote healthy habits and prevent child marriage among the target groups.
The campaign, which will run from February 9 to February 22, will cover various settings such as schools, colleges, homes, brick kilns, tea gardens, urban slums, and private coaching institutions. A special village meeting will also be held from February 19 to February 22, where the benefits of drinking mother’s milk and the dangers of child marriage will be discussed.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Meena Rani Sarkar, MLA of Badharghat Constituency, Hari Dulal Acharya, Sabhadipati of Paschim Tripura Zilla Parishad, and other dignitaries. MLA Sarkar spoke about the objectives and activities of the campaign and urged the participants to spread the message of health and well-being.
