Agartala, 28th January 2025: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today said that providing basic health services to the people remains one of the state government’s top priorities.
“The government is working specifically for the development of medical services in this direction. In the future, efforts are underway to establish a medical hub in the state,” said Dr. Saha.
Dr. Saha emphasized this point during his visit to Agartala Government Dental College on Tuesday. The Chief Minister, who also serves as the Health Minister of the state, mentioned that the government is continuously prioritizing the development of medical services.
During his visit, Dr. Saha issued necessary instructions to the authorities to ensure better education for the students of this college and improved services for the public of the state. The Chief Minister said, “We are committed to improving the infrastructure and facilities in the healthcare sector of this state. In line with this, the government has given special importance to the development of services in hospitals.”
Additionally, the Chief Minister inquired about the health condition of Sadhan Debnath, the father of journalist Chinmoy Debnath and former president of the Bishalgarh Press Club, who is undergoing treatment at GBP Hospital. During his visit, he also interacted with the doctor on duty to discuss all relevant medical matters.
