Agartala, 11th December 2025:  Help from the Chief Minister has brought a ray of hope to a grief-stricken family in Indira Panchayat, Sabroom, following the untimely death of sharecropper Sanjib Das. The tragic incident, which occurred a few days ago, drew immediate attention from the Chief Minister, who swiftly directed the district administration to extend all necessary support.

At the “Mukhyamantri Samipeshu” outreach programme today, the Chief Minister personally handed over a financial assistance of ₹4 lakh to Bandana Das, the wife of the deceased farmer. In addition, the government has sanctioned a monthly allowance of ₹4,000 for one of their two daughters to help ensure her continued welfare.

Taking further steps to secure the family’s future, the Chief Minister has instructed officials to include the household under the Antyodaya scheme, enabling them to access a range of government benefits and social security services.

“We stand firmly with this farmer’s family,” the Chief Minister affirmed, assuring that the government will extend every possible support to help them overcome financial hardship during this challenging time.
