Tripura signs MoU with STQC to strengthen information security

Agartala, 11th December 2025:   Finance and IT Minister Pranajit Singha Roy today expressed delight after meeting M. Vellaipandi, Director General, STQC, MeitY, Government of India, and Arvind Kumar Upadhyaya, Scientist G, STQC, GoI, at the Secretariat here.

“We had insightful deliberations on a range of subjects,” the Minister said, highlighting the state’s commitment to advancing digital resilience.

In line with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and under the leadership of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, the Government of Tripura is taking proactive steps to enhance information security standards across departments.

As part of this initiative, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was exchanged between the STQC Directorate, MeitY, Government of India, and the Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura. The agreement paves the way for implementing robust information security standards through: Certifications to ensure compliance with national benchmarks, Capacity building programmes for government officials and IT staff, Seminars and workshops to spread awareness and strengthen practices, and Collaborative initiatives aimed at safeguarding digital infrastructure

The partnership marks a significant step in Tripura’s digital governance journey, reinforcing its commitment to secure, reliable, and future-ready IT systems.
