Agartala, 3rd September : Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus inaugurated Hindi Pakhwada on 3rd September 2025 in the august presence of Prof. Yogesh Pratap Singh, Vice-Chancellor of National Law University, Tripura, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
In his inaugural address, Prof. Yogesh Pratap Singh observed that Hindi, as a language, binds the entire nation with a common thread and truly upholds the spirit of “Unity in Diversity.” He emphasized the importance of promoting Indian languages as a way of strengthening national integration.
Prof. Makhlesh Kumar, Director of the campus, presided over the session and remarked that Hindi should be encouraged as a national language in order to reduce over-dependence on English. He further highlighted that such an approach would contribute to the decolonization of the mind and help realize the true spirit of “Atma Nirbhar Bharat.”
The event was coordinated by Dr. Sonamit Lepcha, Faculty of Hindi, while Dr. Swarga Kumar Mishra, Faculty of Sahitya, acted as the Convenor. The inaugural session was anchored by Dr. Ashish Kumar Mishra, Faculty of Ved.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Mohanlal Verma, Faculty of Sahitya, marking the beginning of a series of activities to be held during the Hindi Pakhwada celebrations at the campus.
