Agartala, 31st July 2024 : A distressing incident took place in the Chelikhala area of Bishalgarh at midnight firemen received an alarming report about a person lying injured on the road. Responding swiftly, the Bishalgarh firemen rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found a man later identified as Kansa Debbarma (52) lying in a pool of blood by the roadside. Acting promptly, the firemen rescued him and transported him to their vehicle for medical assistance. As they continued their search, the firemen found another victim, a woman named Sabitri Debbarma (48) inside a nearby house also covered in blood.
The firemen immediately informed the Bishalgarh police, who arrived at the scene without delay. They found Sabitri tied to a pole inside the house, suffering from severe head injuries. Both victims were transported to the Bishalgarh sub-divisional hospital for urgent medical care. According to a fireman on duty, the doctor treated the injured individuals and referred them to GB Hospital for further treatment.
The circumstances surrounding this horrific event remain unclear, as no information has been obtained about how the incident transpired. The mystery deepens as the community seeks answers to what led to this night of terror at Chelikhala.
