Agartala, 6th December 2023 : A disturbing incident took place at Hazari Bari area of Kalyanpur Haludiya ADC Village as a miscreant took the life of a housewife, Jessmi Debbarma, burying her in the ground. The Teliamura sub-divisional police officer, leading a dedicated team, promptly arrived at the scene, recovered the victim’s body, and dispatched it to the morgue for post-mortem examination.
The disconcerting event came to light when Jessmi Debbarma’s missing diary was reported at Kalyanpur police station on Tuesday night around nine o’clock. Following an intensive investigation, the police found the lifeless body of the housewife concealed in a forest, buried underground. Initial observations by law enforcement suggest that she was murdered with a sharp weapon, evident from the visible bleeding from her nose and the back of her head.
The police have initiated a thorough search for the prime suspect, Jessmi Debbarma’s husband, Mintu Debbarma. The body has been transported to Kalyanpur Hospital for a detailed post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause and circumstances of the tragic demise.
The community is abuzz with speculation about the motive behind this heinous act. Reports suggest an ongoing family dispute between the husband and wife in recent days. Some locals speculate that Mintu Debbarma’s alleged illicit relationship might have played a role in the grim incident.
