Humanitarian initiative for persons with disabilities at Kailashahar

Agartala, 28th March 2026:  Unakoti district witnessed a remarkable humanitarian effort aimed at empowering persons with disabilities. A large-scale free distribution camp was organized at the Kailashahar District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC), jointly managed by Jaipur-based Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti and the district DDRC.

Specialists at the camp provided beneficiaries with advanced prosthetic limbs, manufactured on-site using modern technology. In addition, eye check-ups, free spectacles, and hearing aids were distributed to those with visual and auditory impairments. On the very first day, more than 45 individuals from Unakoti district received assistance.

Organizers confirmed that the camp will extend its services to beneficiaries in North Tripura tomorrow. They emphasized that despite existing infrastructure, the involvement of expert teams has significantly enhanced the quality of services. Local residents and recipients expressed deep satisfaction with the initiative, praising its impact on community welfare.
