Agartala, September 27: Faculty of Management & Commerce of the ICFAI University Tripura has celebrated World Tourism Day in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Tripura on Tuesday.
A stimulating debate competition on the theme “Is Green Investment the Only Option for Tourism Development?” was also organized as a part of celebrating the event.
About 100 enthusiastic students were participated in the debate competition in different featured by two judges: Dr. Subhrajit Bhattacharjee, Consultant at the National AIDS Control Organization, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and Dr. Abhijit Chanda from Institute Of Advanced Studies In Education.
Participants engaged in thoughtful discussions, deliberating on the implications of eco-friendly practices in the tourism industry.
Prof. Aniruddha Roy, Joint Director of TTDCL and Sri Mrinal Das, Assistant Director of TTDCL graced the program as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Prof. (Dr.) Sujit Deb, Dean, Faculty of Management & Commerce has given the welcome address.
The celebration ended with a prize giving ceremony. Vote of thanks addressed by Prof.(Dr.) Dhananjay Datta, Dean Research & Development of the University.
