IDA, Tripura state branch thanks government for amending TDSR, filling 35 new posts & promotion of dental surgeons

Agartala, November 07: The India Dental Association (IDA), Tripura state branch on Monday expressed heartfelt gratitude to the state government for implementing some of their demands by amending the Tripura Dental Service Rule, creation and filling up of 35 new posts, and promotion of dental surgeons after a long time.

Speaking to media personnel at Agartala Press Club on Monday afternoon, honorary secretary Dr Sajal Nath said that the IDA, Tripura state branch placed memorandum of demands to the government and among them, some are being implemented and hence, the association is thankful to the government.

“The government has amended the Tripura Dental Service Rule, two posts of joint director has been created, two posts of deputy director has also been created and in the meantime, one has joined in Deputy Director post. It was one of our long-pending demand for the expansion of dentistry and what we can achieve in terms of social responsibility among the common masses. That is why, there was a need for amendment and creation of post. We express our immense gratitude to the government”, he added.

Dr Nath said “Moreover, the government has created 35 new posts, TPSC conducted examination and 34 candidates has been selected. However, one post is lying vacant as it was allotted for ex-army service man or physically disabled person. The releasing of offer for 34 posts already started and very soon, we will be able to see dental surgeon engaged in government works.”

IDA, Tripura state branch’s honorary secretary also said that these two demands were pending for a long time. “However, these 34 posts are very less for us. In the coming days, we demand to the government to create new posts”, he also added.
